Zelazowa Wola & Niepokalanow Trip
Zelazowa Wola & Niepokalanow Trip
Why Should You Join In?
Our savvy guide will take you to the small village, Zelazowa Wola, to see the hometown of Frederic Chopin. There, in the left annexe to the manor house, the composer grew up. Next, you’ll be taken to another nearby town where Mr and Mrs Chopin were married and Frederic baptized. On summer days, you will have a chance to see beautiful gardens and hear a recital of Chopin's works. The tour will continue to Niepokalanow (known as the City of the Immaculate Mother of God), where Father Maximilian Kolbe founded the Franciscan monastery. Many people come here every year to pray for the blessing of St. Mary.
Niepokalanow is also an important place for Polish culture. Because of its own press and documents that were printed in the monastery, Niepokalanow was a preaching centre of the local people. There was even a radio broadcasting station in this small village. We will also visit the Museum of St. Maximilian Kolbe, which is dedicated to his life and work as well as Franciscan missions.
