The hotel was very good in every aspect. The staff were all polite and friendly, the bedrooms were clean and comfortable and very stylish. The bar staff were very nice and very keen to be helpful. It was a perfect position for us to visit the area

We found the absence of a residents bar strange as it felt a bit awkward sitting in a very quite restaurant or in the reception to have a drink in the evenings. Other than that the hotel was great.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel and we would have scored 10 for everything but for a few issues.Firstly we had a front facing room (6) which was noisy in itself; however it was made far worse by workmen digging up the pavement directly benath our window from 7am in the morning.As for the value, we are unsure of the cost as it was a gift to us.

Everything about the hotel was excellent apart from one point. We were a group of four and two people were fortunate enough to be allocated a top floor room (level 4) which we discovered later was the only floor with A/C. We had a first floor room with no A/C and as we were fortunate enough to have excellent weather in October we were too hot during the night and it was noisy with the window open. I would not want to stay in this hotel in the summer without A/C.Other wise excellent.
