Malbork Castle Tour
Malbork Castle Tour
Why Should You Join In?
Malbork Castle, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997, is the largest and best preserved gothic stronghold in the world. It is placed in the town of Malbork, about one hour away from Gdansk. The castle was built at the end of the 13th century as a seat of the Teutonic Knights Order and the capital city of the Germanic Roman Catholic order’s state. The Malbork Tour from Gdansk shows you the stunning size of the fortress. To build the construction, about 5,000,000 bricks had to be used. The fortress is divided into three parts: the lower, medium and higher castles. During the medieval ages, Malbork was the seat of the Grand Master of the Order of Teutonic Knights. This is one of only a few strongholds in the world that has never been conquered in a battle.
